Some assholes from HongKong running some sort of a penis enlargement website, you know one of those herbal remedies to make you grow an extra 4 inches over 6 months type things.

Well they started sending out a load of spam e-mail’s through their smtp servers using my domain name as the address, a load of annoying shit, so I apologize for those affected, I implemented an spf record on my dns, and soon after the dns churned it appeared to have started working, so hopefully this crap won’t happen again!

Nvidia NForce

hmm I have installed many things on things on this machine over the years, I have also tried many OS’s probably loaded XP on a few times too many, yet after a fresh install a few months ago I noticed it to be very jittery and jerky when doing things, and you would notice a stutter in the music.

Things like this annoy you vastly, and then all of a sudden at bootup windows started kicking up “Found New Hardware” and on came the ‘oh noes’ as I googled around trying to work out what the “nvidia nforce4 parallel ata controller” did, and what driver it needed as it never seemed to install properly, after looking through countless places, and going through and making sure everything was up to date with my motherboard driver wise, I somehow ended up on the nvidia website where I thought, hmm why not try the latest nforce drivers from nvidia, seen as they make it and all ;)

walla kabam, after a reboot it installed the drivers and she was working like a beast again, none of this stuttering nonsense! Bloody asus should have the latest version on their website!

on a sidenote it is about time my neighbors greased the hinges on their automatic gate!

Nero

I had the need to install Nero 7 today, reasons aside I downloaded the trial as it was all I needed. Luckily I found the ~370mb file on my isp’s download mirror, (http://ftp.iinet.net.au/pub/nero/software/Nero7/) meaning that it won’t come off my tiny 7 gigabyte download limit!

So I double click it (pretty standard) to start the installation, after a 30 seconds of it fart assing around (extracting) it gets to this page with some sort of terms and conditions, but it was terms and conditions for installing the ask toolbar!

nero

What next? are virus’s, trojans and adware going to ask you to accept its terms and conditions so that it can screw up your system? I’m not firing down the ask toolbar nor nero saying its a virus, but ever since when does adware in a program have a terms and conditions that you need to accept before installing it?
